change of materials
Hello friends!
My move to my new studio was successful. I still have lots of setting up to do, but no hurry. Thank you for all your well-wishes. I think they really helped me get through the day.
I managed to clear off my work table enough to get to work on my next show, opening in just one month. I am a little behind schedule, but I think I can pull it off.
I am working in some different medium for this show: gouche and pencil. I will still do some collage, but am trying gouche instead of acrylic so I can work on paper, and pencil instead of ink so I can work with some shading. Today I made my first piece.
These are radiolarians, single cell organisms that live in the ocean. The title of the show is called "Charming Creatures," named for what Ernst Haekel called radiolarians. All of the work in the show will depict sea life in some way.
If you live in Southern California, and can make it to the opening of this show, I'd love to meet you. Here's all the info:

That's it for me for a couple of days!
Peace all.

Ernst Haekel ( scientist, doctor and artist) I greatly admire him since that's what I want to be some day. Your charming creatures remind me of viruses. Their structures are so amazing, check them out if you have some time.

i love radiolaria! and i actually have used them in my own work too. the greatest thing about plankton is that there are SO MANY cool ones (and they're real living beings!) and so many different versions of even the same creature. hurray radiolarians!
