So much happening...
Hello friends,
Well, it's been a flurry of activity this week and it's not stopping anytime soon! Last night we had a successful book launch party for Meg's new book Craft Inc. Here are Rena and me at the book selling table:
Then this morning Amy Ruppel showed up bright and early at the shop to begin painting a mural. We heart Amy (and her mural in progress). She's so awesome to work, play and east sushi with.
She finishes tomorrow. Do you see how she incorporated the fire alarm?? Amazing.
Tomorrow night is the opening of my friends Derek and Lauren's storefront for their online shop The Curiosity Shoppe!! It's going to be so fun. And I am so lucky. It's just a few blocks from my apartment over on Valencia Street. You can read more about Derek and Lauren here. They are going to do a weekly feature on design*sponge of DIY projects! I really love this week's project.
To finish off the week, it's dinner on Friday with a high school friend I haven't seen in 21 years (um, since we graduated!). And Friday it's Helvetica with Rena, a fellow font-lover; and dinner at NOPA with my home girl Diana to celebrate her birthday.
I am getting tired just thinking about the rest of my fabulous week. So I think I am off to bed now!
Cheers.

that mural is just beautiful! thanks for sharing the picture with us; I always love seeing how artists work around "problems" (like the fire alarm) and incorporate them cleverly into their work. :)
have a great rest-of-the-week! :)
