news news news
Dear friends,
Thank you for all your kind words yesterday about my "dangerous" mobile. I was thrilled that you like it. It's less dramatic spatially than my last mobile, but more dramatic (in a certain way) visually, so I am happy with it in the end. I intend to make a new mobile for the shop every four to five months, so who knows what I will come up with next.
I have been chomping at the bit to share some very exciting news with you and now it's official so I can: I will be joining the ranks of Jill Bliss and Lotta Jansdotter this year--I am working with Chronicle Books to design stationary using my artwork. I could not be more thrilled. My journal and card set will debut in Spring of 2009. I will not be able to show you even a glimpse of the unfinished or finished products until the catalog is released in nine or so months, but please stay tuned! I hope it will be worth the wait.
Other news? I went to see The Magnetic Fields last night as part of the Noise Pop Festival happening here in San Francisco, and they were phenomenal. Tomorrow night I am off to see The Mountain Goats as part of the festival and am equally as excited.
Last but not least, look out for this squirrel. He's on the loose:
He was last seen heading toward Brooklyn.
Have a good day.

we're so excited to see lisa congdon everywhere!
and feeling live-music-jealous! i babysat for friends the other night so that they could go to the mountain goats. they said it was a great show. enjoy!

That's great news. I work in a small bookstore/gallery in Melbourne Australia and we love the chronicle stationary. Particularly the Jansdotter stuff. I can't wait to get Lisa Congdon stationary also. And the Magnetic Fields are awesome, I saw them about 6 years ago, would love to see them play again.
